They run and juggle, chase and catch, locked in what seems like an endless cycle: in RUNNERS, the company Hippana.Maleta takes time apart. Two treadmills keep the performers in perpetual motion, while multi-instrumentalist Moisés Mas García drives them through a sequence of experiments and playful trials, igniting and sustaining the charged, grotesquely comic dynamic between the three protagonists.
Hippana.Maleta is formed by Jonas Schiffauer (DE) and Alex Allison (IE). Since 2018, the two jugglers have shared a common vision of circus, poetry, and performance, with Moisés Mas García as part of the creative team. Following Tunnel (2019), RUNNERS is the ensemble’s second production and has been touring across Europe since 2021.
RUNNERS is a contemporary circus work that can be presented on conventional stages as well as in tents, factory halls, and outdoor spaces.
